Four nice defective tilings with a central hole and C6 symmetry
Back
#1
Arranging six partial tilings with signature [3]. we obtain this nice holed tiling.
This hole can actually be filled by reverting four semi-infinite worms (two wriggly and two less-wriggly)
to obtain either one of the two hydra tilings
[See also this activity, in italian only]
#2
Take a slice (one fourth) from the tiling with signature/address [0]. and arrange six copies of it
around a hexagon (this is a nice finding by David Smith and Joshua Socolar).
It is related to #1 above by reverting six half less-wrigglyworms.
#3
A different arrangement of the central tiles can be completed as follows:
#4
This is yet another defective tiling with a hexagonal hole. It is obtained from #1 by simply
rearranging the six central spectres.
Notes
Take a slice (one sixth) of the second example and compare it with
the tiling with signature/address [0].

Propeller #1
Here we show two complete tilings of the exterior of a Propeller.
They are obtained by partially reverting a worm of one of the two
Tripod tilings.
